Who we are
The Way Christian Church ("we") operates this website at thewcc3.org. You can reach us at 812-760-2287, or by mail at 7564 W State Route 66, Newburgh, IN 47630.
What we collect
We collect information only when you choose to give it to us:
- Connect card — your name, email, phone if you share it, and your message.
- Prayer requests — your request, your name if you give one (anonymous is welcome), and your email only if you'd like follow-up. A request appears on the public prayer board only if you choose “share” — and then first name only.
- Online giving — handled entirely by Stripe, a payment processor. Your card or bank details go to Stripe, not to us; we never see or store them. We receive only the record of the gift.
How we use it
For one set of purposes: responding to you, praying for you, and shepherding this church. We never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising. We share it only where the law compels disclosure.
Cookies, tracking & how the site works — in plain terms
We run no advertising, no behavioral or cross-site tracking, and no marketing analytics. Nothing on this site builds a profile of you, identifies you, or follows you to other websites. This site does not watch you, and we know nothing about you until you press Submit.
One piece of honesty about how the site is built. So our office can keep the words and photos on these pages current without a programmer, that content is delivered through Google Firebase, a Google Cloud service. When you load a page, your browser fetches the content from Google’s servers, and the service keeps a small amount of working data in your browser purely so the page loads correctly. That is machinery, not surveillance — it is not an advertising cookie, it does not identify you, and it is never used to track or market to you.
Like every server on the internet, the providers that deliver the page receive routine request information — such as your IP address and browser type — in the course of serving it. We do not use any of it to identify, track, or market to you.
Who processes it
A few trusted providers handle data on our behalf, each under its own security practices:
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and delivers our connect and prayer forms, transmitting each submission to our church email.
- Google Workspace hosts that church email.
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud stores and serves the words and images on our public pages and secures staff access to update the site.
- Stripe, Inc. processes online gifts. Card and bank details are entered on Stripe’s systems, under Stripe’s own privacy policy — they never touch ours.
Photographs of people appear on this site only with their permission — and photos of children only with a parent or guardian’s, revocable in writing at any time.
Retention & your choices
Messages and prayer requests are kept as long as they serve their pastoral purpose. You may ask us at any time to review, correct, or delete anything you submitted — including taking a request off the prayer board — by calling 812-760-2287 or writing to the address above.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
